Mazen Najjar

Mazen Najjar is Partner at McKinsey & Company. He has over 15 years of consulting experience. Mazen is an accomplished academic and an expert financial economist. He leads the firm’s Risk practice in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa and is a member of the Financial Institutions practice. Mazen specializes in risk management and regulations, with a focus on risk transformations and capability building. He also served numerous Financial Institutions, Central Banks, FS regulators and Institutional Investors on key transformative endeavors across Europe, MENA and South East Asia.

Prior to McKinsey, Mazen was a partner in the financial services practice of Booz & Company where he led the risk management and regulations practice in the Middle East. He remains an active academic in finance and financial economics and has held posts at the University of Manchester and the American University of Beirut.

Mazen holds a PhD in finance and financial economics, a double masters in finance with distinction from the Manchester Business School and a BBA in finance with high distinction from the American University of Beirut.
